JAMMU, Jan 28: Two persons were injured in an assault case in Sanjay Nagar area of Digiana in city outskirts, late last night.
According to a police spokesperson, two youths identified as Sunny and Sonu of Sanjay Nagar, Sector-4, Digiana, attacked their neighbor, Lakhveer Singh (45) son of Najar Singh and his son, Gurneet Singh (22), with lathies and sharp edged weapons over some old enmity.
In the attack, the Lakhveer Singh received injuries on his head while his son’s one arm got fractured. They were immediately shifted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and efforts were on to nab the two accused, who were at large.
