JAMMU, May 3: Two persons were killed while three others were injured in separate road mishaps in outskirts of this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Ajay Kumar (35) son of Puran Chand, resident of Badyal Brahmana (Bishnah), sustained serious injuries late last night when he lost control over a scooter (bearing registration No JK02AK-7338) on was he was going and it hit with the parapet of the road at Sanik Colony.
In unconscious condition, he was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. Today, after completing all medico-legal formalities, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In Nagrota area, two bike borne youth identified as Abhishek (23) son of Bal Krishan, resident of Mango Garden (Muthi) and Manav (24) son of Rampal, resident of Barnai, received serious injuries when their speeding bike bearing registration No JK02BR-9752 hit with a parapet on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway, late last night.
Both the injured were shifted to GMCH Jammu, where Abhishek was declared as brought dead by the doctors while Manav’s condition was stated to be critical. After conducting post mortem, the body of the Abhishek was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In Narwal area, a man identified as Satya Naryan (35), resident of Rajasthan, got injured today when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by a speeding bus at Narwal. A pedestrian identified as Shadi Ram (80) son of Shafor Ram, was hit and injured by a bike in Pounichak area. Both the injured were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
