Two killed, four injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, July 14: Two persons were killed while four others were injured in separate road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said that an accident took place between a Maruti car driven by Mohammad Amin Bhat bearing registration number JK01P-2040 and a Tempo bearing registration number MH-15PB-6597 driven by Aejaz Ahmad near Mantaqi Petrol Pump Jawbarara along National Highway in Pampore area of Pulwama district, resulting in on spot death of Maruti driver and injuries to two persons identified as Zakira Jan and Masrat alias Meema.
“Both the injured were shifted to sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment where Zakira Jan succumbed to her injuries while Masrat was shifted to SMHS Srinagar Hospital for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police said that a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01L-8124 met with an accident near Hatmullah in Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian namely Abdul Majeed Malik. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said that a Xylo car bearing registration number Jk01R-0614 driven by Ghulam Mustafa fell into a deep gorge at Bandaya in Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to the driver and a passenger namely Rashid Ahanger. “Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
