JAMMU, Jan 11: Two youth today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to police sources, a girl namely Mamta Chowdhary (20) daughter of Rajinder Lal, a resident of Domana, today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
In a separate incident, an 18-year-old boy namely Saqlain Mushtaq son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Anantnag and at present residing in Bathindi area of Jammu, made a vain attempt on his life by consuming some hair shampoo. He was also shifted to GMCH Jammu.
The condition of both the youth was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
