JAMMU, Mar 22: Miran Sahib Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 5 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Miran Sahib Police Station led by SHO SO Gurupal Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Adil Hamid intercepted a Toyota car bearing registration number JK02BJ-4670.
During checking, police team recovered 5 grams of heroin from the vehicle and arrested two persons traveling in it.
The arrested persons were identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar and Rohit Sharma, son of Subash Chander, both residents of Shakti Nagar, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 41/2020 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
