Two peddlers nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Feb 5: Jammu Police today nabbed two drug peddlers from different parts of the district and recovered 10.04 grams of heroin from their possession.
“During checking at B3 point naka, a team of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by concerned SHO Inspector Surinder Raina rounded up one suspect namely Mohd Khalid alias Khillo son of Murad Ali, resident of Rangora, when he was going in a vehicle bearing registration number JK14-5955,” a police spokesman said.
He said on search, 7 grams of heroin was recovered from the suspect. “In this regard, a case under FIR Number 12/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and the accused got arrested,” the spokesman said, adding further investigation of the case was going on.
Meanwhile, he said, another team of Police Station Peermitha led by SHO Inspector Mohd Rashid and Incharge Police Post Gujjar Nagar PSI Ajaz Ahmed while on patrolling duty near MC Doller hotel, rounded up a suspect identified as Charan Singh son of Krishan Lal, resident of Ramban (at present living in House Number 121, opposite Hotel Garden, Prem Nagar Jammu) and on search recovered 3.04 grams of heroin, two psychotropic injections and one syringe from his possession.
“In this connection, a case under FIR Number 09/2023 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Peermitha and the accused got arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation into the case was underway.
