Two player replacements at ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023

 

DUBAI, June 26: The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 has approved two player replacements.

In the Zimbabwe squad, Nyasha Mayavo has replaced Clive Madande, who was ruled out due to a shoulder injury suffered in his team’s win over West Indies on Saturday.

In the Nepal squad, the travelling reserve Kishor Mahato has replaced Sompal Kami, who sustained a hand injury earlier in the tournament against Zimbabwe, an ICC media release on Monday said.

The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.

The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 consists of Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events (Chair); Sarah Edgar ICC Representative; Hamilton Mazakadza, Host Tournament Director; Dirk Viljoen, Host Nominee; Pommie Mbangwa (Independent); Natalie Germanos (Independent) and Gurjit Singh, Managing Committee Affairs. (UNI)
