JAMMU, Dec 23: Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested two smugglers along with 11 kilograms of hashish.
According to SP ANTF Vinay Sharma, information was received by ANTF from reliable sources that some consignment of narcotics is being transported from Kashmir to Jammu in a truck bearing registration number JK02CA-2660.
On receiving the information, the sleuths of ANTF swung into action and laid nakas at various places, SP said, adding that the team successfully intercepted the said truck at Narwal Bye Pass.
During checking, 11 kilograms of hashish was recovered from the vehicle and two persons identified as Kabir Hussain, son of Mohammad Khurshid and Sabir Hussain, son of Nazir Hussain, both residents of Kalakote, District Rajouri were arrested.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered, SP said, adding that ANTF is investigating forward and backward links of these arrested narcotics smugglers.
