Two students of KC Public School to represent India

JAMMU, Oct 29: Two students of KC Public School—Soham Bhat and Shreemai Bhat, are going to represent team India in 4th Junior World Soft Tennis Championship scheduled to be held at Jingshan, China, on November 1, 2024.
Soham has been selected in Under-18 category for boys whereas Shreemai in Under-15 category for girls.
The trials for Team India were held at Ahmedabad where both the players displayed outstanding performance in fitness and field tests.
Both these players were trained under the guidance of Khelo India Soft Tennis Coach (Jammu Centre), Indu Bhushan.
They were inducted into Soft Tennis game at KC Public School and gradually developed so much interest in this fast emerging sport that they bagged several medals at district, UT and national level.
Shreemai has 3 national level medals to her credit including one at SGFI (School Games Federation of India) whereas Soham has 2 gold medals at the UT level championships.
Both of them as of today are ranked number one in the UT of J&K after winning gold medals in their respective categories in the championship held on October 19 this year.
In addition to representing Team India in China, both of them have also been selected as Torch Bearers for the UT of J&K in the forthcoming 68th School National Games scheduled to be held at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.
School Vice Chairman, Arjun Chowdhary; Principal AK Mishra and Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey congratulated Soham and Shreemai on being selected to represent India at the international level and wished them great success in the championship.
