JAMMU, Aug 19: Two women who were undergoing treatment here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for their burn injuries, passed away today.
According to a police spokesperson, a woman identified as Purnima wife of Shyam Sunder, a resident of Chhattisgarh (at present Shiv Nagar, Jammu), who was admitted in GMCH on August 9 with severe burn injuries, succumbed to her injuries at about 8 am today.
Meanwhile, another woman identified as Hema Sahu (25) wife of Pappu, a resident of Chhattisgarh (at present Paloura), who was also undergoing treatment for her burn injuries here at GMCH since August 13 after a stove blast accident, passed away about 1 am today.
After conducting post mortem, the bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
