UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: Heavy rains and inclement weather conditions have forced the organizers of Divisional Level Inter-District Under-14 Cricket Tournament, to postpone the event, here today.
The tournament was scheduled to be held at the two venues of Subhash Stadium, Udhampur and Degree College ground Udhampur from August 20 to August 22, however, after the inauguration of the tournament by MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia on August 20, rain played a spoilsport and forced the organizers to send the teams back to their respective districts.
The decision with regard to the next date of the tournament is yet to be taken by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, the organizer of the tournament.
