U-16 Boys T20 Cricket Tournament gets underway at MGCA

JAMMU, Jan 9: Inter-School Under-16 Boys T20 Cricket Tournament got underway at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA), here today.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Ankush Abrol, Member Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an impressive and well attended function in presence of galaxy of former and present State cricketers.
In the opening match, Little Flower School defeated MGCA in a high scoring match.
Earlier, batting first, MGCA scored a decent total of 157 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Ankush top scored with 52 runs off 33 balls, while Sarthak contributed 39 runs off 21 balls. Satyabrath also chipped in with 10 runs. For Little Flower School, Aditya Pal took 3 wickets, while Arshpreet and Saiyam Joshi claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Little Flower School rode on brilliant knocks by Talah (63) and Vishal (58) to chase the target easily. Both the batsmen scored the runs at a brisk rate and hit the ball with fluidity and grace. Aarav chipped in with 8 runs. For MGCA, Anurag and Sanat Anand took 2 wickets each, while Satyabrat claimed one wicket. For his brilliant batting, Shah Talah was adjudged as man of the match.
