U-19 Football: KC outplays MVM by solitary goal

JAMMU, Aug 29: KC Public School, Jammu scripted a narrow win over Maharishi Vidya Mandir by a solitary goal to advance in the Inter-School Under-19 boys football tournament being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at SOS Herman Gmeiner Higher Secondary School, Gole Gujral, here.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Army Public School Domana defeated the formidable side of MHAC Nagbani in a tough contest by three goals to two (3-2), while in the second match MIER also got better of Heritage School by three goals to two (3-2).
In other matches played today, JK Public School blanked GD Goenka by three goals to nil (3-0), while BSF Paloura beat APS Miran Sahib by (4-2) goals.
The tournament was held under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, while Bharat Bhushan Khajuria, Lecturer in Physical Education was the convener of the event.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by the Principal of the host School, RK Dhar, who was accompanied by the Sports staff of the School including Surinder K Wali, Ramesh Bhat and Sunita Raina.
