JAMMU, Sept 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association, in collaboration with Directorate of Physical Education, University of Jammu and under the auspices of Wrestling Federation of India, J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association is organising Under-23 Boys Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Women State Wrestling Championship-2019 at Wrestling Hall, University of Jammu on September 15, 2019.
The Association has advised all the District Associations and reputed Clubs of J&K, affiliated to Wrestling Association to send the eligible men and women Wrestlers at Wrestling Hall, University of Jammu on September 15 at 8 am for measuring weight.
According to a handout issued here, the players have been asked to bring with them two photographs, Aadhar Card and Date of Birth Certificate issued by competent authority of the State.
“No Wrestler will be allowed to participate in the Championship without age proof,” organisers said.
Ajay Vaid, General Secretary of the Association said that the winners of this Championship will represent J&K Wrestling team in the forthcoming 2nd Under-23 Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Women National Wrestling Championship-2019, which is being scheduled to be held at Shirdi, Rahata, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra from September 26 to September 29, 2019.
