JAMMU Mar 4: United Cricket Club (UCC) defeated Media-XI Cricket Club by 5 wickets in a friendly T-20 match played at Phalian Mandal Cricket ground here today.
Earlier, Media- XI led by Yash Khajuria after winning the toss opted to bat first. Amit Kumar 38 runs off 32 balls and Amit Sudan 31 runs off 24 balls provided a decent start as Media XI posted 163 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 Overs. Manmohan 30 runs off 25 balls and Sunil Bali 24 runs off 19 balls remained the others top scorers who contributed to the total.
For UCC Manjeet, Vicky, Meenu and Vikram shared a wicket each.
Chasing the target, UCC with the help of Manjeet 78 runs off 57 balls managed to reach home in 19.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Arsh 19 runs of 12 balls remained the other top scorer for UCC.
For Media -XI Sunil Bali took 2 wickets while Amit Sudan also clinched a wicket.
For his all-round performance in the match Manjeet (78 runs and a wicket) was declared as Man of the Match.
