UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: UCC and KCC registered wins in the league matches of the ongoing Udhampur District Cricket Tournament being organized by State Cricket Academy, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council, here.
The first match was played between United Cricket Club (UCC) and Young Blood Cricket Club (YBCC).
Put into bat, UCC made 161 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Gourav Khajuria top scored with magnificent unbeaten 85 runs, while Paramjeet also contributed 29 runs. YBCC was unable to chase the target and bundled out for paltry total of 96 runs. UCC won the match by 65 runs and Gorav Khajuria was declared as the man of the match.
In another match played between Kallar Cricket Club (KCC) and National Cricket Club (NCC), latter won the toss and decided to bat first to score a meagre total of 93 runs. KCC chased the target easily by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Sahil Singh of KCC was declared as the man of the match. He took 3 wickets in his 3 overs.
