Udhampur, Budgam, Pulwama, Kishtwar win matches

JAMMU, Oct 19: In the ongoing Inter-District State Level Cricket Tournament for Under-19 Boys at Sports Stadium, Kathua, organized under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), district Udhampur, Budgam, Pulwama and Kishtwar won their respective matches.
The first match was played between Udhampur and Samba districts in which Udhampur emerged winner. Winning the toss Samba elected to bat first and made a total of 71 runs in 16 over match at the loss of 10 wickets. Rohit made 18 runs of 31 balls and Ashwani scored 10 runs in 13 balls. For district Udhampur, Sanket bowled very well and took 4 wickets by giving 14 runs in 3 overs while Sunil took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
In reply, Udhampur achieved the target in just 9.2 for the loss of 2 wickets and thus won the match by 8 wickets. Apekshit Singh scored 21 runs in 21 balls.
The 2nd match was played between Budgam and Kathua districts. Kathua won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, it scored only 68 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 20-over match. Only Abishek reached a double figure who scored 13 runs for his team. For Budgam, Mudasir and Masood took 4 and 3 wickets, respectively.
In reply, Budgam district achieved the target in 9 overs by losing just 4 wickets and thus won the match by 6 wickets. Masood scored 31 not out for Budgam.
In 3rd match Pulwama beat Kulgam by 3 wickets. After winning the toss, Kulgam elected to bat first and scored 110 runs in 19.4 overs. Adit scored highest 26 runs. For Pulwama, Javid took 3 wickets.
In reply, Pulwama district achieved the target in 19.3 overs at the loss of 7 wickets.
In 4th match, Kishtwar outplayed Baramulla by 6 wickets. Winning the toss, Kishtwar elected to field first. Baramulla scored 100 runs in 16 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Fiazan scored 25 runs in 38 balls while Nadeem made 18 runs in 15 balls. For Baramulla, Aquib Hussain was the best bowler who took 3 wickets in 3 overs by giving 22 runs.
In reply, Kishtwar district achieved the target in just 15 overs that too at the loss of only 4 wickets, Akshya  Kumar scored 31 runs not out.
