Udhampur College sensitizes teaching staff about smart class

UDHAMPUR, Sept 18: To sensitize the teaching staff about latest technology in teaching aids, a one day hands-on training program about usages of smart class was organized today at Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur.
Prof   Nutan Kumar Resutra, Principal of the College, inaugurated the programme and stressed upon the usage of modern technology in today’s teaching learning process so as to compliment the conventional teaching methods.  He also emphasized that the concept of smart class education is indeed a blessing to the students of 21st century where we are relying less on paper and more on latest gadgets.
Smart class uses all interactive modules like interactive animations, educational videos, presentation and those visually attractive methods of teaching become appealing to students who are already struggling with the traditional method of teaching.
In fact smart classes are almost like watching movies so that the students can grasp difficult things easily.
Earlier, Prof Vishal Sharma, HoD Electronic, introduced the audience with the different gadgets available in smart class. He also highlighted the precautions to be taken while using smart class room.
Prof Rahul Sharma, HoD Computer Sciences, gave practical hands-on training about usages of the smart board and how to make teaching more interesting and interactive.
All the staff members of the college including Prof S K Magotra, Prof Rakesh Gupta, Prof Rajesh Gupta, Prof Udhey Bhanu, Prof Ranjodh and Prof Kewal Kumar from GDC Ramnagar were present on the occasion. Prof G R Verma, HoD Sericulture presented a formal vote of thanks.
