UDHAMPUR, Sept 28: Second District Open Table Tennis Championship for boys and girls, organised by Udhampur Table Tennis Aacademy concluded at Badminton Hall, here today.
Balwant Singh Mankotia, former MLA Udhampur and chief patron of District Table Tennis Association Udhampur was the chief guest, while Ravish Vaid, table tennis coach, University of Jammu was the guest of honour.
200 players from different parts of District participated in 4 days Championship.
Mr Mankotia in his address encouraged the players and appealed the concerned authorities for completion of under construction Indoor Complex at Subash Stadium, here.
Earlier, Kumar Tarun president Udhampur Table Tennis Academy presented welcome address.
The matches were officiated by Mannat Arora, Prikshit Khajuria, Achhat Magotra, Rajat Bandral, Paras Magotra under the supervision of Kumar Tarun, Ankit Sharma and Sunny Sharma.
In sub junior boys, Mahi beat Harshit by (3-2), while in junior boys, Mahi trounced Sahil by (3-1).
In sub junior girls, Sunali Rajput drubbed Amriti Thakur by (3-2), while in senior boys, Sunny Sadotra got better of Arush Kailu by (3-1) and in senior girls, Parul Sharma prevailed over Purvi Sharma by (3-2).
