Udhampur FC, JK Bank script wins

JAMMU, Dec 13: Udhampur City FC and J&K emerged winners in the 2nd and 3rd quarter-finals by defeating Pegasus Hero FC and Sainik Colony FC by 1 goal to nil each in the ongoing Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association at GGM Science College Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organised under the aegis of J&K Football Association (DFA, Jammu).
The single goal each was netted by Sandeep Rana and Akif Reshi in the 27th minute and 6th minute of the game for the Udhampur City FC and J&K Bank, respectively.
The yellow cards were issued to Azad of Sainik Colony in 27th minute, Jamshed of J&K Bank in 4th minute and Faisal Thakur of J&K Bank in 59th minute during their games.
Amardeep Singh (International player) was chief guest. He was accompanied by Ramesh Chander (International player), Yousaf Don (Org. Secy.), Varinder Sharma (President NGR), Peter Sandhu, S. Mattoo, Ashok Sharma, Rajesh Sumbria and David Masih.
Ajay Singh, Aman Banathia, Abhishek, Satnam Singh, Dil Bahadur, Aman Sudan and Dheeraj Meenia acted as referees during the games.
The fourth quarterfinal will be played between Young Hero’s FC V/s Shaheen FC tomorrow at 2:30 pm.
