Udhampur police organizes Mega Wrestling Competition

UDHAMPUR, Mar 21: District Police Udhampur organized a Mega Wrestling Competition under Civic Action Programme at Mini Stadium with the technical assistance of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
On the occasion, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Surinder Gupta was the chief guest and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary was guest of honour.
The senior police including Mohan Lal Kaith, Additional SP Udhampur, Gourav Mahajan, DySP Headquarters, SHO police station Udhampur Inspector Mahesh Sharma, Swatantra Dev Kotwal, Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur, Hans Raj Thakur, Post Warden Civil Defence, Vikram Slathia, Subash Sharma, Sewa Singh Mankotia, Retd SP and Sanjay Sharma, Sports Officer were also present.
In the competition, 24 bouts were held. Wrestler Ajay of Udhampur district won first bout by defeating wrestler Fiza of Kathua district. In the second bout, Nissar Ahmed of district Doda defeated Murrad Ali of district Jammu. In the 3rd bout, Vijay Sharma of district Jammu defeated Din Mohammad of district Udhampur.
DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Surinder Gupta along with SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary gave the cash prizes amounting Rs 10,000, Rs 7000 and Rs 4000 to the winners of three bouts respectively.
