JAMMU, Aug 24: The Districts of Udhampur and Rajouri organized Inter-School Tournaments in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and wrestling.
At Udhampur, the 3-day Under-19 boys and girls tournament concluded AT Sports Stadium, wherein kabaddi final was bagged by GHSS Udhampur by defeating GHSS Gjhordi by (21-12) points, while in kho-kho Under-19 boys final, HSS Udhampur got better of HSS Garhi and in volleyball Under-19 boys final, HSS Gargi thrashed JK Public School in straight sets.
In Under-19 boys wrestling, Rahul Kumar and Bikham Singh claimed gold and silver in 56-60 kg category.
Meanwhile, the Department of Youth Services and Sports organized Inter-School Tournaments for boys and girls in the disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi and volleyball for Khawas, Peeri, Koteranka, Baljarallan, Doongi, Rajouri, Nowshera and Dandesar zones.
The tournament was held under the overall supervision of Mohd Ayaz Khan, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Rajouri.
