JAMMU, Apr 19: Udhampur and Reasi Districts Sport Climbing Championship will be organized by Mountaineering Association of J&K in collaboration with Sprawling Buds School, Lakshmi Puram, Chinore, Jammu on May 3.
About 200 climbers from various institutions of the two districts are likely to participate in the 1 day competition.
The competitions to be conducted on the pre fabricated 40ft high Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in Sprawling Buds school premises will be held in six categories of men, women (born in 1998 and earlier); boys, girls (born in 1999, 2000 and 2001 and Sub Jr. boys /girls (born in 2002, 2003 and after) .

Qualified national judge in sport climbing Shawetica Khajuria will also be the president of the Jury of the competition, while Shashi Kant and Aman Arora, senior sport climbers will be the route setters.
They will be supported by other technical officials of the Association including Sonam Sidharth, Puneet Sharma and Hardev Singh.
The championship is being sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
