JAMMU, Dec 30: The Universal Friendship Society (UFS) organized a free medical camp at village Kotli Arjan Singh in tehsil RS Pura to pay tributes to late Sewa Singh (chief patron of the Society).
During the camp, a team of doctors and paramedics led by Dr Kirpal Singh (MD Medicine) examined a large number of patients suffering from varied diseases. Free blood tests of those needed were conducted on spot by Nidhaan laboratories.
Besides providing free consultation, investigation and medicines, the team of doctors also made the visiting patients aware of having a healthy diet, active lifestyle and harmful effects of intoxicants. The people were educated on how they can lead a disease free life. The team also imparted health education to the people to avoid Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Cancer.
Apart from Dr Kirpal Singh, who is a member of Lifestyle Medicine Society of London, Jeevan Lata Sharma, Ajay Bhagat, Saudagar Mal Chowdhary, Ashok, Dinesh Kumar, Kuldip Raj and Mehar Singh rendered their services in the medical camp.
