Earlier, resuming the day at 70/3, needing another 118 runs for victory with 7 wickets in hand, Hyderabad batsmen struggled against the J&K bowling trio of Umar, Amir and Sahil, who consistently bowled in good areas to force rival batsmen make mistakes and plot their dismissals. Overnight unbeaten batsman, VP Patnaik, who had come as the night-watchman yesterday evening was the only player to show some resistance against a good stuff bowled by the J&K bowlers, who hit the perfect length in the entire innings. Patnaik scored 49 runs off 148 balls, studded with 4 boundaries. However, wickets fell at regular intervals as the other batsmen failed in application and the whole Hyderabad side bundled out for 155 runs to lose the match by 32 runs. For J&K, Umar Nazir scalped 4 important wickets by conceding 48 runs in his 14.3 overs, while Amir Aziz took 3 wickets by giving away 31 runs in his 14 overs.
