JAMMU, Mar 29: Panic gripped the town after two unclaimed bags were found lying on the roadside near Shiv Mandir opposite Yes Bank, here today.
An Army patrolling party, which spotted the bags, immediately informed the nearby unit following which bomb disposal squad and Dog squad were rushed to the site. After four-hour exercise, nothing objectionable or explosive was recovered from the bags. A mobile number in the bag helped the army to locate the owner who had mistakenly left the luggage there.
Even as Army questioned the person, he was later allowed to go along with bags.
