SRINAGAR, Aug 28: Three days Underwater Sports Championship, organised by Swim N Survive Society Kashmir and sponsored by Tourism Department, concluded here today.
About 100 swimmers participated in eight round events including One km Fin Swimming, Kids Fun Race, Mono Fin Demo, One km Open Water Swimming etc.
Mahmood A Shah was the chief guest of the valedictory function, whereas Azad Ahmad Shah (Managing Director Shah Steel House), Swim N Survive Society president Syed Shahid Afzal Zadie and vice president Dr. Sheikh Tariq were also present during the event.
Faaniq Mohammad Jan and Aamina Basharat were declared as disciplined swimmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehmood A Shah congratulated to all the winners and runner-ups of the event and appreciated the efforts of swimming experts including Riyaz Wani, Zulfikar Ali, Yasir Makhdoomi, Zahid Iqbal, Sheikh Rashid Fayaz and Mudasir Jeelani for providing training free of cost to budding players.
The event was sponsored by Daacchi and Shah Steel House.
