JAMMU, Aug 9: Dozens of youth under the banner of J&K Unemployed Physical Education Sports Association (JKPESA) today staged a protest demonstration outside BJP office Trikuta Nagar, here today.
They were chanting slogans against the UT Government and in favour of their demands including for implementing 2nd phase of Rehbar-e-Khel in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir against the already identified posts in the Middle and High Schools.
The protestors said that a proposal has already been submitted by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports for creation of 7311 posts in the entire UT to cover all Middle, High and Higher Secondary Schools and alleged that the Government is deliberately delaying to adjust unemployed youth on these posts.
“The Government vide Cabinet decision number 196/12/2017 dated 23.10.2017, adopted a policy of Rehbar-e-Khel which was formulated by Youth Services and Sports Department along with creation of 3000 posts in first phase,” they said.
“As per policy of Rehbar-e-Khel, there must be one Physical Education Teacher in every school but the file of 2nd phase of Rehbar-e-Khel is still pending and biting dust in the Civil Secretariat for getting approval but nobody seems bothered about it.
They further said that the aspirants, under the banner of JKUPESA already approached Union Minister for Youth Services and Sports, LG J&K , Commissioner Secretary and Director General Youth Services and Sports and others concerned officers for resolving the issue but not to avail.
