SRINAGAR: Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi today called on Governor N N Vohra and discussed the security situation in the State, including the border areas.
“The Governor and the Home Secretary discussed the obtaining security environment and issues in regard to which effective enforcement and implementation are required, particularly keeping in view the continuing attempts at infiltration, cease-fire violations and recurring incidents aimed to cause unrest,” a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
Mehrishi, who is expected to offer prayers tomorrow at the cave shrine, also called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, officials said. (AGENCIES)
