JAMMU, May 27: The Union Minister of State for Higher Education, Prof Ram Shanker Katharia today visited the upcoming campus of the Central University Jammu at Bagla (Rahya Suchani), in Samba.
He was shown the progress of the construction work and the administrative set up that has recently been shifted there.
According to the Minister, the visit to CUJ was part of his assignment given to him by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the work done by the Government and decide the future agenda.
The Minister assured the VC to provide all assistance to the University to establish and improve the required infrastructure. He underlined that the teachers’ and non-teachers’ residences should be of very good quality.
Earlier the CUJ Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima introduced the Deans, Heads of the Departments and other senior officials of the University and gave a power point presentation about the progress of the work, functioning of the University and its future plans.
