Unique Club Jammu wins 2nd Senior Open State Tug of War title

JAMMU, Jan 15: Unique Club Jammu lifted the title trophy of the 2nd Senior Open State Tug of War Championship, organized by Tug of War Association, here.
Bhopinder Singh, retired SSP was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who distributed trophies, medals and certificates among the players.
In his speech, he threw light on the importance of sports and games in helping the youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Prominent among others, the function was attended by Jodh Singh Isher, Secretary, Nimran Deep Singh, president Youth Congress, Suchet Garh, Jasvir Singh, Joint Secretary, (Chairman – Unique HSS, Garhi Garh), Nirlap Kaur, Principal, Unique HSS, Garhi Garh and Ravinder Singh, International player.
The Championship was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Tug of War Association.
Earlier, Khalsa Club Miran Sahib beat Unique Public HSS, Garhi Garh by 2 -0 sets, Pulwama District defeated Budgam by 2-0 sets, Jammu District got better of Pulwama District by 2- 0 sets,
In semifinals, Unique Club Jammu beat Khalsa Cub by 2-0 sets, while Guru Harkrishan HSS outplayed Jammu District by 2-1 sets.
In the title clash, Unique Club Jammu defeated Guru Harkrishan HSS Jammu by 2-1sets.
