Unity Cup-2024 cricket tourney begins

JAMMU, Apr 3: Tarun Uppal, Chairman of Nirbhay Bharat Foundation inaugurated a two-day under-17 cricket tournament at Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Mini Stadium in Gole Gujral, here today which was organised by Academy of Unity.
The slogan of the tournament is “Say no to drugs, yes to sports”.  Uppal said that the event is being organised with an objective to serve a twin purpose of promoting sports in the Union Territory and involving more and more youth in sporting activities to save them from falling prey to drugs and other allied social evils.
The sports enthusiasts should adopt sports for better career progression and work with more zeal and dedication in this field besides terming sports activities vital for maintaining physical and mental well being.
The tournament features teams like Ravi Das Cricket Club, Night Bash Masters, The Dominators, Tiny Tots School, Ram Rangers, Team Warrior, Jammu Deccan Gladiators, Gole Gujral Lions, JKMS, Pooja Public High School, Smash Kings XI, The SkyStar Warriors, Elite Public High School, Kalka 11, and K.S Public School, One Team One Dream. The matches are officiated by Kajal Devi, Sangeeta, Pooja Rana, Amit Sahu, and Raghav Mehra, under the supervision of chief organiser Sunil Kumar.
