Upgradation of Nagbatan HS demanded

KISHTWAR, Feb 28: Shiv Sena (Shinde) Doda -Kishtwar Zone president has expressed serious concern over delaying tactics being adopted by authorities of Education Department in upgrading the High School Nagbatan, Kontwara Zone in Kishtwar district despite the repeated pleas by the people.
In a statement issued here, today the zonal president of the SS, Tilak Raj Shan said that his organization has many times approached to the Educational authorities in this regard but to no avail. He said though the authorities granted the Plus Two status to another High School in the Kishtwar district but High School Nagbatan was ignored despite the fact that there is no HSS in the area up to a distance of 30 kilometers and the students in this hilly belt and far of area have to face many hardships in going for higher classes by covering such a long distance.
Shan in an appeal to Commissioner Secretary, Education urged him to look into the demand on priority basis and accord permission for upgradation of High School Nagbatan to Higher Secondary level so that the people of this hilly belt will heave a sigh of relief.
