URI, Aug 20: Amidst a backdrop of camaraderie, skill, and national pride, the final match of the highly anticipated Uri Premier League (UPL) was held at Uri which was organised by Indian Army’s Kalapahar Brigade and Team 360 here today.
A crowd of almost 3000 enthusiastic cricket fans and locals, showcased not only the prowess of the participating teams but also the spirit of unity and sportsmanship that cricket fosters in the community.
The grand finale was held at Kalapahar Auditorium Ground that was adorned with national flags and a festive atmosphere. Excitement filled the air as fans eagerly awaited the showdown between Royal Cricket Club Jabla and Rising Salamabad in which Royal Cricket Club Jabla emerged victorious.
The final match was a spectacle that showcased remarkable displays of batting, bowling, and fielding skills by both teams. Major General Rajesh Sethi, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Dagger Division and several other J&K UT department officers were present during the occasion. The stadium reverberated with cheers, chants, and applause as each boundary and wicket was scored.
This extraordinary UPL 2023 finale will be remembered not only for the cricketing prowess on display but also for the enduring spirit of unity that it ignited among all who attended.
