In 1999, both the varsities had two faculties each – Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Sciences. SKUAST-Kashmir has added five more faculties to its strength in the last 15 years whereas the proposal for the sanction of much required Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Dairy Sciences and Division of Seed Science to SKUAST-Jammu has been made hostage to the process of seeking repeated queries by the State Government,” he said in a statement, issued here today.
Further, Dr Vikas said, SKUAST-J had advertised four administrative and 96 teaching positions in the year 2018 and at present more than 50 posts of teaching and 140 posts of non-teaching are lying vacant in SKUAST-Jammu that should be advertised immediately, but till date neither the interviews for teaching and administrative positions have been conducted nor the positions of teaching and non teaching have been advertised.
