JAMMU, Feb 14: Inter-District UT level Athletic meet for girls, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports got underway at New Campus University Ground, here today.
In under-19 girls categroy, Tanvi Kohli of District Reasi, Manita Choudhary of District Jammu and Priya Sharma of District Udhampur won top three positions respectively in 200 mtrs, whereas in long jump, Sheetal of District Kathua, Priya Sharma of District Reasi and Mansi Saini of District Jammu clinched top three positions respectively and in shot put, 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by Sharon James of District Jammu, Kajal Sharma of District Rajouri and Kaneza of District Kathua respectively besides in 1500 mtrs, Shamshad Bano of District Jammu, Neelam Akthar of District Udhampur and Kulsum Ashraf of District Bandipora won top three positions respectively.
In 400 mtrs relay, Tanvi Kohli of District Reasi, Shivani of District Reasi and Anuradha of District Reasi stood first, whereas Priya Bali of District Reasi, Shakeel Bibi of District Kathua, Jimmu Devi of District Kathua, Jetun of District Kathua and Jyoti Devi of District Kathua remained second and Pragatee of District Jammu, Sakshi Devi of District Jammu, Sameeksha of District Jammu and Mamta of District Jammu got 3rd positions.
In under-17 years girls, Simran of District Kathua, Riya Kumari of District Jammu and Mehak Rakhwal of District Doda won top three positions respectively, whereas in 200 mtrs, in 3000 mtrs categroy, Anjali Manhas of District Kathua, Arti Devi of District Udhampur and Lakshmi Kumari of District Jammu clinched top three positions respectively and under-14 years girls categroy, 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Gurdev Kour of District Jammu, Sunekha Kumari of District Reasi and Nandni Manjotra of District Samba respectively in 200 mtrs.
In long jump, Mamta Devi of District Udhampur, Radhu Devi of District Reasi and Gulnaz Kour of District Jammu stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, whereas in shotput, Munaza Manzoor of District Kulgam, Shubnam Showkat of District Budgam and Khushalika Devi of District Kathua clinched top three positions respectively.
The matches were officiated by penal of experts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
The event is being organised under the chairmanship of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services and Sports J&K UT Jammu and overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
