UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: The UT Level Inter-Division AAG Group Handball tournament organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Udhampur concluded here today.
The tournament took place at the esteemed Mini Stadium, drawing significant participation and enthusiasm from young athletes across the Union Territory.
The closing ceremony was attended by chief guest Devender Singh Bahu, CEO PDA, and guest of honour Dwarka Nath Sharma, Chairman of the Rotary Eye Club. They praised the athletes and highlighted the importance of sports in personal development.
In the tournament, Jammu secured victories in both the Under 19 (26-10) and Under 17 (19-15) categories, while the Kashmir contingent triumphed in the Under 14 category with a score of 27-09.
This tournament not only showcased the athletic prowess of the participants but also fostered community spirit among the youth. Organizers expressed gratitude to all participants, officials and supporters’, emphasizing their vital role in the event’s success and the promotion of sports in the region.
