UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: Players of Udhampur Table Tennis Association (UTTA), brought laurels at Inter District State Level Table Tennis Championship, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Leh.
To encourage and boost the morale of young talent, the Association honoured the players today.
On this occasion, former MLA and chief patron UTTA, Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest.
Earlier, Tarun (Working President) presented the welcome address.
In his address, Tarun congratulated the young talent for their tremendous achievement. He said that it is the matter of pride that after many hurdles and non cooperative behaviour of the Sports Department officials, they managed to win gold medal at State Level Championship.
Ankit Sharma, Vice President of the Asociation and Prikshit Khajuria, Joint Secretary presented vote of thanks.
Sunny Sharma (Sr. Vice President), Vikas Mahajan, Sahil Gupta, Abhijeet Thakur, Rajat singh, Vijay Sallan, Samnik Bhasin,Balwinder Singh & the parents of the players were also present during the occasion.
The players of the Under-19 gold medal winning team players included Harshit Ramotra, Abhay Gupta, Mahi Kailu and Sudansh Verma.
District Udhampur defeated Jammu District by 3-1.
