Vakil demands comprehensive employment package for youth

SRINAGAR, Jan 29: Senior vice president of Peoples Conference (PC) and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today demanded a comprehensive employment package for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Alleging that unemployment has touched the skies in J&K, Vakil said time demands a comprehensive employment package for the youth of J&K. “In the present scenario where drug abuse has already reached to an alarming situation, Government needs to create transparent employment opportunities for the youth of the J&K,” he added.
Interacting with the people during an extensive tour of villages of Zangeer Rafiabad namely Zalura, Harwan, Sagipora Rawoocha and Mahrajpora Sopore he said that the Government has failed to address problems of people living in far-flung areas of the Valley and neglected their development.
Vakil said, “Our people are still living without good roads, electricity and water and what is surprising is that even the people who are regularly clearing their electricity dues are still deprived of electricity as the Power Department is not implementing its own power schedule.”
