JAMMU, Dec 24: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today launched a new party ‘Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek’.
Vakil will be the President of the party, which will stand for ending dynasty rule and corruption in the State and stands for unity of three regions Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
He appealed to the people of Jammu to join his party’s fight against dynasty politics and family rule propagated and implemented by the families of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Vakil was addressing a party workers convention at Bari Brahmana in district Samba today. The convention was presided over by Party Patron and former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak.
While addressing the gathering Vakil asked the Finance Minister to explain the reason for dividing casual labourers into categories and restricting engagement as consolidated workers only to those having more than ten years experience. Terming the Government decision an attempt to rub the salt into the wounds of 60,000 casual labourers, Vakil asked the Finance Minister to announce the engagement of casual labourers as Class IV employees with full salary benefits and withdraw the decision of engaging them as consolidated workers.
Hitting out at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for playing tricks with the casual labourers and the Government employees over the issues of regularization and implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation, Vakil said unfortunately the Chief Minister has focused her attention on bringing her cinematographer brother Tasaduq Mufti a non entity in politics to promote dynasty politics.
Addressing the gathering, Gulchain Singh Charak lambasted NC, PDP and BJP for deceiving people by not keeping the election promises.
Hitting out at BJP for being part to the decision of imposing Tasaduq Mufti a product of dynasty politics on the people of the State, Charak said BJP’s commitment to fight against dynasty rule stands exposed with half a dozen ministers of the party endorsing the PDP’s decision on nomination of Tasaduq Mufti to legislative council. Charak appealed to the people of Jammu to get united and support their cause against family rule.
Among others, who addressed the gathering include General Secretary Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek Syed Rafiq Shah, Secretary Syed Gowhar, Youth Wing Secretary Rizwan Illahi and Hakim Parvaiz.
