Valley Shiv Sena demands security

SRINAGAR, July 17: Jammu & Kashmir chapter of Shiv Sena (Balasahab Thackeray) today staged a protest demanding security to its members along with the accommodation that has not been provided to them so far.
A few members of the party had assembled in the premises of Press Enclave raising slogans in favor of the party.
Basant Kumar, the party worker while talking to the media persons said that the members of the party have got security issues. “We don’t have an office here; many workers do not have proper accommodation. Our president does not have any sort of security,” he said.

He asked that if the Government was waiting for another Bandipora-like incident to happen before they could actually take a call on providing them security cover.
The party alleged that Government as well as the security apparatus was ignoring them. “They are ignoring us. We met SSP, Security as well as the IGP, but nothing is happening,” they said.
