JAMMU, Sept 19: Young and talented Fencer from Jammu and Kashmir and a Civil Engineering student of Government Polytechnic Jammu, Vansh Mahajan, who has represented India in the Thailand Open Championship, has secured 18th rank in this ongoing Championship at Bangkok, Thailand.
Displaying extraordinary fencing skills and showing composure, promise, grit and guts, National Medalist Vansh Mahajan qualified his pool and entered the knock-out stage in Thailand Open Fencing Championship, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ace Fencer Vansh Mahajan has excelled and ranked top in Sabre amongst all the fencers who had participated from India in the said Championship.
This is for the first time that an Ace Fencer from J&K State has achieved such a milestone in individual event at International level.
Vansh Mahajan has one goal in mind and working on achieving National Colour because he himself is preparing for team event, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow.
Ace and National Medalist Vansh Mahajan attributed his success to his Coach Shotu Lal besides International Fencer Rashid Choudhary and Ujjwal Gupta.
