JAMMU, Mar 4: Various educational institutions celebrated the Festival of Colours ‘Holi’ with religious fervour and enthusiasm, here today.
The children celebrated Holi with festivity and enthusiasm in a special function organized on the eve of Holi at JK Montessorie School its affiliate unit JK Little Millennium School Talab Tillo, here today. The function began with a moral play on “Vishnu devotee-child Prahlad”. The play conveyed young children the importance of the festival of Holi.
A stage exposure was also held on the topic “save water, save life”. A painting activity was also organized wherein tiny toddlers of JKLM painted the different activity sheets with different colours.
To update the knowledge of the students, Vice Principal, Geeta Dixit JKMS briefed the students about the importance of the festival.
Kidzee Pre School of ZEE-Network Ltd celebrated Holi in all its branches including Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo with great enthusiasm.
The small kids were attired in colourful dresses. They took active participation in making colorful rangolies. They were given demonstration regarding this festival and made aware about the theme behind it. The facilitators along with kids enjoyed this festival by playing colours with each other. Sweets were distributed among the children.
Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab celebrated Holi in the School premises on a colorful note.
On this occasion, students enjoyed finger painting, hand and foot printing on different pictures.
They made a lot of fun by smearing colours on each other.
Meanwhile, the students were also given knowledge of colours of different things. They danced on the tunes of famous Holi numbers. Teachers informed the students about the precautions to be taken while playing Holi. They were also encouraged to play dry Holi to save water.
To update the knowledge of the students, Principal of the School, Puja Sharma briefed the students about the importance of the festival.
Doon International School, Jammu today celebrated the festival of Holi in a unique way with a few underprivileged children from the nearby colony. The Chairman Mr G N Tantray and the Principal, Vikesh Kaur played Holi with these kids along with the faculty.
The kids were given dry colors, water sprayers and served with sweets on this occasion.
The Chairman and the Principal of the School extended their heartiest wishes for a colourful Holi to all and suggested to make it purposeful as well.
Dewan Devi Playway Higher Secondary School, Rajpura Mangotrian today celebrated Holi Festival with great enthusiasm in the premises of the School.
The tiny toddlers of kindergarten clad in dresses of Radha and Krishan presented a colourfull programme.
The Chairman of the School, Subhash Chander Suri addressed the students on the occasion.
The students of Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir Amarvilla, Talab Tillo Jammu celebrated Holi in the School premises today. The Advisor Dr Ramakant Dubey, Manager Trust Rajender Kakkar, Director Academic, Suresh Sharma, Ruchita Kakkar and the Principal Dr Baljeet Singh joined the students in this colourful celebration.
The dignitaries and the students spoke on the importance of the festival and advised everybody to use herbal colours and avoid wastage of water.
The cheerful and fun-filled festival of colours ‘Holi’ was celebrated with a splash of colours by the students Mother’s Pride & Joy Pre-Primary School.
The students and staff enjoyed splashing eco-friendly colours along with flowers amongst friends. It was a great experience for everyone as the festival of Holi celebration signifies the coming of the spirit of universal brotherhood.
Kindergarten wing of Oriental Academy celebrated Holi in the school premises today conveying clear cut message of victory of good over evil especially in the present scenario, the significance of the festival becomes all the more important when many states of our nation are fighting with deadly swine flu virus. Celebration in the school premises was marked by mass participation of students of pre-primary wing in different activities and the function finally culminated with Aahuti ceremony.
