RAJOURI, Feb 28: In a major achievement, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and Romeo Force Rajouri has developed an AstroTurf ground in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Campus.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, BGSB University today visited the state-of-the-art “FIFA Quality” certified football ground to review the status of ground at University Campus Rajouri.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University said that this landmark achievement marks BGSB University as the first institution in the region to possess a “FIFA Quality” certified pitch, a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to fostering a vibrant sporting culture and providing world-class sports facilities to its students.
Prof. Akbar termed the coming up of such a big initiative as a blessing for the young generation and a source to produce a lot of talented players for the country. Prof. Akbar said that the facility is ready to be inaugurated within a week’s time. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Associate Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Chief Proctor and other officials of the University.
