VC Cluster University visits GCOE, says several new initiatives in offing

JAMMU, Feb 23: Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu Prof Bechan Lal today visited Government College of Education. He was accompanied by Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu and Dr Sanjay Verma, Dean Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu.
Dr Kulwinder Kour, Principal GCOE apprised the Vice Chancellor about the functioning of the college. She gave a comprehensive presentation of various academic programmes offered by the college, details of teaching and non-teaching employees, infrastructure available, research and digital initiative taken, allocation of funds as well as individual achievements of students in academic, co- curricular, NCC/NSS and literary events, the construction of School of Teacher Education and the schools undertaken by GCOE.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor elaborated on the various initiatives that the Cluster University is going to take for the development of various colleges under it. He took a tour around the college campus and inspected the developments. He planted a sampling in the college yard spreading message of peace and harmony.
The program was well conducted by Dr Shubhra Jamwal and Prof Deep Bangotra. Prof C L Shivgotra gave vote of thanks. Also present on the occasion were Dr Jyoti Parihar, Dr Rajinder Kour, Dr Mansi, Prof Satish Sharma and other staff members from the college.
The volunteers who contributed in the successful organization of the event included Priya Chivalry Singh, Ajay Bhau, Neeru, Shekha, Jasveer, Ravinder, Diksha and Madan.
