JAMMU, Sept 27: Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu, Prof Manoj Dhar flagged off 6 days trekking expedition at Sanasar-Shankhpal, here today.
The expedition was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu in collaboration with Pir Panchal Adventures wherein 60 students of the various Colleges of the Jammu Province affiliated with the varsity as well as the students of the University are taking part.
The event will culminate on October 2.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Directorate especially Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and his entire team for encouraging the participation in the adventurous activities by organizing such types of events.
During the 6 days’ expedition, the trekking will be organized on various routes including Sanasar, Shankpal and Chilla besides other activities such as rappelling, zipline, painting competition, tent pitching workshop and introduction to the adventure equipment.
The officials accompanied the expedition including Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Gagan Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, Harinderpal Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Sourav Jamwal, Sanjay Bandral, Manik Slathia and Pranav Bandral (Director of Pir Panchal Adventure Group).
