VC JU interacts with security staff

JAMMU, Dec 30:  Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof R D Sharma today reviewed the security set up in the campus and called for enhanced vigil to ensure peaceful and conducive academic environment.
In an interaction with the security staff, the Vice Chancellor listened to their grievances,   took stock of facilities available to them and discussed various measures to improve their working conditions.
Describing security staff as an integral part of the University system, the VC   observed that without their active support the smooth functioning in the campus will be impacted.
Responding to various issues raised by the security staff, Vice Chancellor assured that all their genuine problems shall be taken up at appropriate levels for earnest redressal.
Prof Keshav Sharma, Registrar and Prof Pankaj K Srivastava, Dean Students Welfare also spoke on the occasion.
In recognition to their excellent performance, the Vice Chancellor gave away mementos to five security personnel for their outstanding performance in the training programme organized by the National Skill Development Council, Government of India, recently.
Those awarded, included Gulchain Singh and Shaukat Ali, both Head Guards, Jasbir Singh, Suraj Prakash and Satish Kumar, all Security Guards.
