JAMMU, June 8: Prof J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu, has been awarded first prize for MANAGE Best Agricultural Extension Book Award for his book entitled “Yes You Can Launch Your Own Enterprise: Beginners Guide”.
Prof Sharma will be felicitated with certificate and cash prize of Rs 50000.00 (fifty thousand only). The award will be conferred during 34th Foundation Day of MANAGE through a virtual event to be held on 11.06.2021.
Prof J P Sharma, presently Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu and holding additional charge of VC SKUAST-Kashmir, has earlier worked as Joint Director (Extension) and as Head, Division of Agricultural Extension and Director, Centre for Advanced Faculty Training (Extension) at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi.
He has vast experience of over 33 years conducting strategic research, guiding, teaching postgraduate students, conducting national/ international training programmes and carrying out agricultural development interventions at the national level.
