JAMMU, Nov 6: Prof Pradeep K Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu today flagged off SKUAST-J Employees Cricket Team in a simple function held at University Rail Head Complex Jammu. The team will be participating in the 14th All India Vice Chancellors’ T-20 Cricket Cup Tournament 2016 being held at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana from November 7 to November 18. During the flag off function, the Vice Chancellor conveyed his good wishes to the members of the team.
He hoped that the team performs brilliantly in the T-20 Cricket Cup Tournament and bring laurels to the University. A galaxy of University officers were present on the occasion, highly appreciated the enthusiasm put forth by the employees for the tournament and complimented the VC for his whole hearted support to the University Employees Cricket Team.
The team comprised of Vinod Kumar (Captain), Anoop Kumar (Vice Captain) Naresh Kumar Bhat, Mohd Razak, Shams-ud -Din, Nissar Ahmad , Vikram Ram, Milap Rohmetra, Shambu Nath, Mohan Lal, Manjit Singh Manhas, Dr. Satish Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and Rajinder Singh.
Kewal K. Raina, AEE is accompanying the team as Coach and Kuldeep Singh Manhas, Physical Instructor as Manager.
Among others present on the occasion were Prof. T.A.S Ganai, Director Education, Dr. Deepak Kher, Project Planning and Monitoring Officer, Dr. D.P. Abrol Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Ajay Sharma, Secretary to Vice Chancellor, N K Raina Security Officer and PD K Uppal.
