KARGIL, Apr 30: Vice Chancellor (VC) University of Ladakh (UoL) C Phunsoq along with Registrar, Imteeaz Kacho today visited Government Degree College (GDC) Drass and assured infrastructure development for establishment of College campus at Naqpo Rza, here.
During his visit, the VC was informed by the College Principal and staff members about the current status of educational activities. The VC also felicitated 30 students with meritorious certificates and stipend who have completed vocational French course, conducted by the College.
Addressing the students on the occasion, the VC appreciated the efforts of the Principal Dr Amjad Ali Abassi for initiating a certificate course in French language. He also congratulated the course coordinator, Ashraf Ali, expert trainer Manzoor Lone and participants for successful completion of the course.
Registrar of University of Ladakh Imteeaz Kacho also lauded the efforts Higher Education Department and praised the College Principal for increasing enrolment of the students in GDC Drass.
Later, the VC along with the Registrar also visited the allotted site for the establishment of GDC Drass Campus at Naqpo Rza and assured that infrastructure development of the College will be completed in stipulated time frame.
